Expertise in driving is an indispensable quality a Police officer should acquire. With a vision to make each trainee who undergoes training in the Bihar Police Academy an impeccable driver, training to drive Light Motor Vehicles and Two Wheelers shall be imparted to the trainees of the Bihar Police Academy as part of the basic training. With a vision to improve the quality of driving training.

In the Academy Driving School, the focus will be on enabling the trainee to drive and maintain the vehicle flawlessly.. Apart from practical driving classes, indoor classes on subjects like laws pertaining to motor vehicles, signals, care and maintenance, etc. are provided.

It will educate officers of all ranks with a view not only to educate them in traffic management and engineering aspect but also to impart sound practical knowledge.

The Traffic Training Centre will educate the trainees regarding -:

Importance of Traffic Police duties .

Mission and functions of traffic police.

Defining road traffic and related terms, road designs, intersections equipment.

Road safety rules for pedestrians, slow and fast moving traffic.

Traffic signals.

Traffic symbols.

Traffic signs.

Road Markings.

Road Traffic controlling equipment.

The centre shall also frame programmes of road safety activities to be carried out & preparation of records.
