Traffic accidents are a major cause of death and injuries worldwide. However, while they are declining in many parts of the developed world, fatalities are still on the rise in many developing countries including India. Owing to Bihar’s high density of population and associated pressure on land, Bihar has highly populated and very narrow roads making both traffic management and traffic safety a considerably challenging task. All of these call for restructuring our present traffic management and regulation strategies. A Traffic Training school cum driving simulator at the Bihar police academy will help. It will also help to train newly inducted officers in traffic rules and regulations.
